S2 Resources is claiming a potential gold discovery in Finland after 5m-15m thick zones of sulphide, alteration and brecciation were intersected in all seven diamond core drill-holes at a prospect called Aakenusvaara where Outokumpu hit 11m grading 9.6 grams per tonne in the 1980s.

Assays from the Aakenusvaara prospect are expected towards the end of next month, with the zone of prospective geology now defined by S2 said to cover more than 200m dip and 200m strike.
