RWE defies Germany coal exit

Germany's plans to phase out coal-fired power generation by 2038 are not swaying RWE to convert its Westfalen plant to another fuel source even as other coal companies in the country make the switch. RWE is meanwhile being forced to convert plants in the Netherlands as regulations close in what was once Europe's premier power fuel.
