Kazatomprom volumes fall in Q3 as COVID concerns persist

The world’s largest uranium producer, Kazatomprom, saw production dip quarter-on-quarter in the September quarter as COVID-19-related disruption continued to take its toll.

Kazatomprom established a JV with Areva in August 1996 to develop the Moinkum ISL deposit near Tsentralnoye, Kazakhstan

Kazatomprom's output for the September quarter - including volumes from joint venture partners - fall by 11% quarter-on-quarter and by 23% year-on-year to 4,657 tonnes.
