Chile awards lithium tenders

Having brushed aside requests from the incoming administration of president elect Gabriel Boric to suspend a lithium tender process, Chile’s mining ministry has awarded parcels totalling 160,000 tonnes of lithium carbonate production to BYD Chile and Operaciones Mineras del Norte.
