Restart, then growth for Barkerville

Barkerville Gold has a restart of mining operations at its Cariboo gold project in British Columbia, Canada, firmly in sight, but look further out and the company is already after further resources to justify building a new mill, CEO Chris Lodder told Mining Journal at the Precious Metals Summit at Beaver Creek, Colorado.

Mining should recommence at its Barkerville Mountain mine in the March quarter at initial output of 30,000 ounces per annum before ramping up to 50,000ozpa, Lodder said.
