Codelco faces union revolt as Chuqui goes underground

Chile’s state copper company Codelco is pushing ahead with plans to thin the workforce despite sharp union opposition at its Chuquicamata operation as it converts from openpit to underground mining, CEO Nelson Pizarro says.
