North American precious metals companies have been bemoaning the lack of value being accorded to them and their projects in the past year and one analyst really drove home that theme at this week's San Francisco Silver & Gold Summit.

Rob McEwen says an invisible gold bull market is rising

"Gold stocks are literally cheaper than dirt," GoldSilver.com senior precious metals analyst Jeff Clark told delegates.

Clark assessed the insitu value several senior gold miners' reported ore reserves against their current market capitalisation, and then looked at market rates for top soil, mulch and compost.
