Vista builds new view of big gold project

Vista Gold CEO and president Fred Earnest says the company is stepping up efforts to engage a suitable partner to develop a US$826 million gold mine at Mt Todd in Australia’s Northern Territory after releasing a revised prefeasibility study, but won’t be rushed into doing a deal that doesn’t recognise the value in work done to reposition the project, or adequately reward Vista shareholders.

Vista Gold has updated its prefeasibility study on the Mt Todd gold project in Australia's Northern Territory

"We want to do a smart deal," Earnest said at the Beaver Creek Precious Metals Summit in Colorado, USA.

What that looks like is not yet clear.
