Gold rise will trigger M&A, says Hathaway

The strengthening gold market is poised for a slew of M&A activity, although not necessarily on the scale of the Barrick/Randgold and Newmont/Goldcorp deals seen over the past 12 months, renowned gold investor John Hathaway told delegates at the Precious Metals Summit in Zurich on Tuesday.
