'Don't get too excited,' CRU's Saleheen tells PDAC

The bull run in commodity prices has lifted mining equities to multi-year highs, but miners should prepare for a softer market in 2022 before a possible supercycle kicks in further down the line, Jumana Saleheen, chief economist at commodity analysis firm CRU told delegates at the virtual PDAC forum on Tuesday.

Junior miners should remain calm and prepare for lower commodity prices in 2022

Saleheen said while prices may remain at elevated levels, or even creep higher in the coming quarters, CRU forecast commodity prices "at a slightly lower level next year".
