Terms agreed for massive Saudi Arabian metals exploration

Ivanhoe Electric and Saudi Arabian Mining Company Ma’aden have finalised the terms of their metals deal which will see Ma’aden invest US$126.5 million into Ivanhoe, and the two form a 50/50 joint venture to undertake “one of the largest exploration programs ever conducted”, Ma’aden said.

“The potential for future discoveries is extraordinary,” Friedland said.

Mining magnate Robert Friedland's Canada-based Ivanhoe Electric will be the operator of the JV during the exploration phase, which is targeting copper, nickel, gold, silver, and other electric metals
