Canada's Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta also declared its appreciation to professional geoscientists "and their love of old rocks and fossils".

Old Rock Day is observed annually on January 7, encouraging people to acknowledge and learn more about rocks and fossils.

‏On a previous Old Rock Day, the official Stonehenge account took to Twitter to state it surely hosted the world's "most famous and favourite old rocks".
