Ten workers have been confirmed dead at a gold mine in China two weeks after an explosion left them trapped underground, China’s state media reported.

Ten miners have been found dead at the Hushan mine, owned by Shandong Wucailong Investment Co - a subsidiary of Zhaojin Mining

The explosion on January 10 left a total of 22 miners trapped. Rescuers lifted 11 of the workers to safety on Sunday, but authorities confirmed on Monday nine had died.
