Silver down, gold up for Fresnillo in Q1

Silver production at FTSE 100-listed Fresnillo fell 5% year-on-year in the first quarter due to lower grades at its Saucito mine in Mexico but gold output surprised to the upside with a 16% yoy increase. The miner said it was on track to meet full-year guidance after downgrading in January.
