West African Resources recorded a run-rate of 320,000 ounces per annum in the September quarter at Sanbrado in Burkina Faso, producing a total of 81,960oz and putting the company on track to beat guidance for the year of 280,000oz.

Preliminary numbers released by the company show the key to the output in the September quarter was open pit production of 68,300oz, with the high grade M1 South underground mine yielding 28,060oz.
