"Large-scale reform" of maintenance and repair at all of its Yakutia mining and processing divisions to achieve a "gradual transformation of how equipment's serviceability status is managed" will involve operational networking via an integrated service centre from the end of this year.

"The transformation implies the centralisation of all functions into one service and a shift towards digitalisation with all data concentrated in the SAP Plant Maintenance module," Alrosa said.

"This approach will allow using digital twin technology to analyse and forecast equipment repairs and prevent incidents.

"The new program should significantly increase our competitiveness, delivering … positive economic effect, as time spent on repairs will decrease, the number of accidents and equipment downtime will go down, while productivity and the company's profit will increase."
