M&A could signal bottoming out

The recent announcements by a number of the mining majors of multi-billion losses typifies the current state of the mining industry. Low commodity prices, falling demand, and mounting debt levels have exasperated many of the mining majors attempts to re-calibrate their balance sheets, and illustrate the uphill struggle the industry faces.
