Nzuri appoints Tom Borman new chairman

Nzuri Copper (AU:NZC) has appointed Tom Borman as non-executive chairman to lead the company’s next phase of growth.

Previous chairman Peter Ruxton will remain on the board as a non-executive director, representing major shareholder Tembo Capital.

Borman was previously a senior executive at BHP (LN:BLT) for over 11 years. During this time, he worked as the project manager for the merger integration transaction between BHP and Billiton. His roles at the company also included vice president of strategy and business development and chief commercial officer of the diamond division.

After leaving BHP, he joined Warrior Coal Investments as part of the executive team and was also a director of Alphamin Resources (CN:AFM).

Nzuri recently completed the definitive feasibility study on its flagship Kalongwe copper-cobalt project in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
