Turquoise Hill hires new COO

Turquoise Hill Resources has made Jo-Anne Dudley chief operating officer.

Dudley has 25 years of experience in mining, and most recently was the Oyu Tolgoi copper-gold mine's senior manager of strategic mine and resources planning.

She spent the past nine years as a key member of the Oyu Tolgoi technical team developing the mine in consultation with Turquoise Hill.

Prior to this, Dudley worked at Rio Tinto, first as a senior mining engineer and then as principal advisor mining in the company's technical group on mines in South Africa and the US.

Previous experience included mining engineer roles at Northparkes Mines and Farnsway-Faminco.
