Indonesia gets German support for trade deal, battery investment

Indonesian president Joko Widodo has received the backing of German chancellor Olaf Scholz for a European Union-Indonesia trade agreement and has met with heads of Volkswagen and BASF regarding investment in Indonesia’s plans of developing a car battery “ecosystem”, the Indonesian government said.
