Centerra under fire for dismissing Charaat takeover bid

Shareholders in Centerra Gold (TSX:CG) have expressed dismay that the company – owner of the flagship Kumtor mine in the Kyrgyz Republic - dismissed a C$2 billion (US$1.5 billion) takeover bid by UK predator Chaarat Gold Holdings (AIM:CGH).

"They didn't engage or seek contact with us after they received our offer-letter dated September 18," Artem Volynets, CEO of London-quoted Chaarat told Mining Journal.
