Yukon Bill S-6 repeal expected

The four controversial amendments to the Yukon Environmental and Socio-Economic Assessment Act (YESAA) recently put in place with bill S-6 will be repealed by the Yukon Supreme Court by the end of the year, according to Yukon First Nations.

The repeal, which comes after three First Nations took the federal government to court, would basically return the YESAA mining project permitting process to what it was before.
