In 2018, it began a US$1.5 billion expansion to double its capacity from 10 million tonnes a year to 20Mtpy of iron ore concentrate, reported Andina. The expansion includes high-pressure grinding rolls, four ball mills and the largest seawater desalination plant in Peru.
