Canadian uranium major Cameco has more than trebled full-year 2018 adjusted earnings to C$211 million, or 53c a share, beating the average Bay Street analyst forecast for 25c by a wide margin.

For the 12 months ended December, the company said net earnings were at $166 million or 42c a share, compared with a $205 million or 52c per share loss a year earlier.
