Cerro de Pasco Resources (CDPR) is to acquire Peru’s controversial and historic Cerro de Pasco mining operations from Peru miner Volcan, under plans to process tailings and stockpiled material at the site.

Cerro de Pasco Resources has agreed to acquire all operations at Cerro de Pasco, Peru, with the intention to reprocess tailings and stockpiles

The acquisition would give the company complete ownership of all mining and processing assets in the area, which has been mined for silver, zinc and lead for four centuries.
