While the March PMI figure of 50 indicates a neutral level of growth, it is an improvement compared to the contraction experienced during the early months of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Caixin China General Manufacturing Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) posted a neutral level of 50 for the third month of the year, down from an eight-month high of 51.
