Osisko finds consistency at Garrison

With over 85,000m of drilling in the bag since acquisition, Osisko Mining (CN:OSK) looks to have boosted the resource base at its Garrison project in Ontario, Canada.

The final results from its 2017 drilling programme focused on the Garrcon and 903 zones.

An infill hole at 903 was the highlight from 15 intercepts. A 73m interval averaged 2.51g/t Au from 371m depth. This was drilled 25m below a previous hole that boasted 70.1m of mineralisation that averaged 2.65g/t from 342.1m depth.

Other highlights from 903 included 60.5m hit at 0.71g/t from 196m and 22.3m at 1.27g/t from 326.2m, the latter of which was positioned in the hanging wall of the diabase dyke.

The measured and indicated resource base Osisko inherited with its late 2015 acquisition of Garrison shows 1.05 million ounces of measured and indicated resources at 1.07-1.16g/t at the Garrcon Zone and 150,000oz at 5.34g/t (all indicated) at the Jonpol Zone.

No resource was generated for the 903 Zone.

Osisko did not make clear its 2018 plans for Garrison in the latest release, but one would expect more drilling to take place as it works towards updating the resource.

That is if it can find a driller in Ontario or Quebec not already working on the mammoth 800,000m drilling programme taking place at its flagship Windfall Lake project.
