More metal, says the IEA, an oil specialist!

Less oil, more metal. It really is that simple. Investment in solar energy is expected to, for the first time, overtake investment in oil – the fuel which has powered the world for more than a century.

“For every dollar invested in fossil fuels, about 1.7 dollars are now going into clean energy. Five years ago, the ratio was one-to-one,” Birol said.
