Mark Child: I think leadership within a firm has to be done from the front.
Condor Gold head Mark Child took the reins of the Americas-focused gold explorer in 2008 after the AIM-listed company scaled back its exposure to El Salvador. Following this, he helped build up a sizeable land position in Nicaragua, define a 2.3 million ounce gold resource and lay out several options to get into production at its flagship La India project. With the circa-£20 million (US$31 million) capitalised company in an offer period, some of the value he helped build up may soon be realised.
