A tale of two graphite companies

Graphite cuts both ways. TSX-listed Graphite One Resources has announced plans to raise C$1 million (US$773,000) for exploration and development of its project in Alaska, while Valence Industries, former owner of Australia’s only operating graphite mine (Uley) has gone into voluntary administration.

Valence’s shares had been suspended since November as it tried (unsuccessfully it now transpires) to raise capital.
