Engineer and experienced project manager Graeme Robinson will be tasked with handling the bankable feasibility study for Sconi, which is close to CleanTeq's (AU:CLQ) Sunrise nickel-cobalt-scandium project.

Robinson has previously held senior project management roles at Vale's (BR:VALE3) US$5 billion Goro nickel laterite project in New Caledonia, Hancock Prospecting's Alpha coal and Roy Hill iron ore assets and Newcrest Mining's (AU:NCM) Cadia gold-copper mine.

The Sconi feasibility study is expected to be completed in June with a final investment decision phase to follow immediately after the study.

The prefeasibility study at Sconi envisaged a project able to annually produce 3,010 tonnes of cobalt sulphate, 24,420t of nickel sulphate and 77t of scandium oxide for at least the first 20 years.
