The company said it had picked up 717 mining claims covering 14,260 hectares contiguous to its JP Ross, Hen and Stewarts properties.

"The staked claims further extend the company's land package immediately to the west and south of JP Ross in the area surrounding the recently announced Vertigo discovery where preliminary drill results included from trace to 56.25gpt gold over 3.05m within a broader intercept of 17.34gpt over 10.67m from 3.05m depth and 45gpt over 3.05m from 1.52m depth, within a broader intercept of 9.65gpt over 15.24m," it said.

"Additional exploration in the area also encountered multiple high-grade grab samples including 139.9gpt, 135.6gpt and 132.9gpt defining a strike length of approximately 1.1km on the vertigo target along a 12km mineralized trend."

White Gold said its dominant White Gold District land package now covered 21,218 quartz claims covering more than 423,000 hectares - or about 40% of the district.

"With the recent high grade discovery at the Vertigo Target and our interpretation of the trend which appears to extend over 12km, we were very keen to acquire additional claims in this area," said White Gold CEO David D'Onofrio.
