Drilling to test for near-surface extensions of the stacked gold structures west of the former Bussiere mine intersected gold mineralised structures with highlights of 7.5m grading 14.8 grams per tonne, the richest drill intercept ever at Courvan. The company plans more drilling to evaluate the depth potential of the nearby Creek zone this year.

The 2021 winter drill programme is focused on both resource expansion and infill drilling, to convert inferred into indicated resources.

"2020 was … a year where we continued to gain a much better understanding of these deposits that will lead to increased confidence in the ounces we are generating," said Probe Metals president and CEO David Palmer.

"As we continue exploration in 2021, one of our key goals is to advance the project towards development, with a focus on improving the quality of ounces that will form the basis of our PEA."

Probe has a total resource of 3.4Moz at Val d'Or East with both openpit and underground mining potential. It has over C$30 million in cash and investments.

Shares in Probe Metals are trading at C$1.60, valuing the company at $208 million.
