Alderon Iron Ore’s chief operating officer Brian Penney has resigned from the Toronto-listed company after close to two years serving in the role.

Penney, who was previously COO in 2011 as well as from April 2013, left Alderon to head up Baffinland Iron Mines, an iron ore miner 50:50 owned by ArcelorMittal and Iron Ore Holdings.
