The company noted that the change "rounds out the organisation's transition from explorer to developer" at its Mahenge graphite project in Tanzania.

Crookes has 30 years' experience in resources and investment and is a geologist by profession. He has been an investment director at private equity firm EMR Capital since 2012 and prior to this worked at Macquarie as an executive director in the metals energy capital division.

He also serves on the boards of Highfield Resources (AU:HFR) and other EMR Capital investee entities.
