Discovery hires new CFO

Andreas L'Abbé will replace Orest Zajcew

He will replace Orest Zajcew, who has resigned as CFO but will remain corporate secretary.

L'Abbé has over a decade of financial and accounting experience in the mining sector and has held key finance and strategy positions with a number of producing companies.

He was most recently Tahoe Resources' (CN:THO) director of finance and previously held the position of vice president of finance at Timmins Gold (now Alio Gold (CN:ALO)), and financial reporting analyst for Goldcorp (CN:G).

Discovery has also decided to change the date of its fiscal year-end to December 31 from August 31, effective immediately.
