He will bring 17 years of investment banking experience, with a special focus on the mining and exploration sectors, to TerraStream.

Lloyd was recently business development chief (metals and mining) for insurance company Price Forbes.

He has also held senior positions at Dresdner Kleinwort/Commerzbank, ANZ and Standard Bank, is a fellow of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining and the Geological Society, and is also an independent non-executive director of Goldstone Resources (LN:GRL).

Coinsilium's TerraStream subsidiary was formed with the objective of creating a blockchain powered platform to support the offering of token-based alternative funding solutions.

While it believes there will be several industry applications, it will initially focus on the mining industry and in particular, precious metals and natural resources extraction.
