Giyani Metals appoints new board member

Michael Jones appointed to help advance Kgwakgwe Hill project

Jones most recently set up consultancy Makerfield Resources in 2015 and prior to that was a corporate executive at African Minerals from 2010.

Earlier in his career, he filled various mine management for 13 years at Gencor, De Beers and Debswana, was a consulting mining engineer for Iscor and then moved to Canaccord Capital in 1997 where he was eventually head of UK mining investment banking.

His five years of experience working in Botswana and his recent manganese experience in West Africa and Brazil will assist Giyani in becoming an independent high-grade manganese supplier to the battery industry.
