Implats hires new CFO, makes board changes

Meroonisha Kerber appointed as CFO, Dawn Earp and Preston Speckmann added to board

She was previously senior vice president of finance at AngloGold Ashanti and prior to that spent 11 years at Anglo American Platinum, where she was head of financial accounting for a large portion of her tenure.

Implats has also added two independent non-executive directors to the board, Dawn Earp and Preston Speckmann.

Earp will also take on the role as chairman of the audit committee. She was previously CFO of Implats and finance director at Rand Refinery.

Speckmann has extensive experience in the financial services industry, serving as group finance director of MMI Holdings for 16 years until he retired at the end of June 2015. 

He will also sit on the audit committee, replacing Mpho Nkeli, who has stepped down from the committee after two years.
