Mkango adds to board

Susan Muir, Sandra du Toit and Shaun Treacy appointed

It has appointed Susan Muir and Sandra du Toit as non-executive directors, as well as Shaun Treacy as a consultant who will be nominated to join the board also as a non-executive director at the upcoming shareholders meeting on October 2.

Muir is an investor relations executive with over 30 years' experience in the mining sector and capital market.

She was previously vice president of investor communications at Barrick Gold Corporation and is based in Toronto.

Mkango said her experience and background will help to enhance the company's profile in North America and other global markets.

Du Toit is a Johannesburg-based banker who is currently executive vice president of Standard Bank.

She and Treacy will work closely with Mkango's management and its strategic partner Talaxis to complete the Songwe feasibility study, raise project finance and develop the mine.

Treacy is a senior strategic and financial adviser based in Sydney. He is chief investment officer for private equity firm Arete Capital Partners and has held senior investment banking roles with JPMorgan, Lehman Brothers, Nomura and UBS.
