Resolute appoints new non-executive director

Technology, innovation and diversity champion Sabina Shugg will replace retiring Bill Price

She is a mining engineer with more than 30 years' experience and has filled a number of senior operational roles at Normandy Mining, Newcrest Mining and KPMG.

Shugg is currently director of the newly formed Kalgoorlie-Boulder Mining Innovation Hub and is also the founder and chair of Women in Mining and Resources WA.

She serves on the Minerals Council of Australia gender diversity working group, the Curtin University foundation board, and the Minerals Research Institute of Western Australia's productivity committee.

Resolute chairman Martin Botha said Shugg's position as a respected industry champion for technology, innovation and diversity in mining, as well as her experience in complex technical and operational mining projects, would make "an enormous contribution to Resolute".
