Welschinger is the founder and managing director of Limehouse Capital, a natural resources investment company.

Executive chairman Nick von Schirnding said Welschinger had been instrumental with Arc's last two financings in respect of introducing family offices and institutions. 

He was previously head of commodities sales in Europe for Deutsche Bank and prior to that was an executive director in Morgan Stanley's fixed income and commodities division in London.
