Massive storm lashes Western Australia's iron ore heartland

The worst of Severe Tropical Cyclone Ilsa is over after the system was downgraded to a category 3 storm this afternoon.

Ilsa crossed the coast as a category 5 system, about 120km east-northeast of Port Hedland at around 12am AWST this morning, with an estimated intensity of 213km per hour, according to the Bureau of Meteorology....
