The high-quality pink colour type I stone was sold through a tender in Antwerp and achieved a price of $656,933 per carat, a record for a diamond from the mine.

Pink diamonds fetch a premium, with Gem reporting previously that the highest price achieved in the December quarter was $64,067/ct for a 4.06ct, pink diamond.
