Dawes: Why 2017 is looking good

The global resources market has had an encouraging fillip in 2016 led by gold and silver and also through a love affair with all things lithium and some things graphite. This might thrill some but we should keep the basic industrial resources in our sights because the action is already underway in this new long term bull market for resources commodities. Tin, zinc and coking coal are leading the sector but there appears to be much more coming and then staying for a long time. From the eye of the bull: Barry Dawes*

The latest economic data coming from China and India is indicating a pick-up in growth in GDP and Industrial Production and the US seems to be doing OK as well.
