Richard has been in mining and finance journalism for 25 years, spending the bulk of his career in Australia but visiting and covering projects and other aspects of the industry all around the world in that time. He spent eight years developing the Australasian-focused HighGrade.net before joining Mining Journal, and prior to that oversaw Mining Journal owner Aspermont's mining publishing interests in Australia for more than a decade.
Tom Hoskyns, Editor
Tom worked as an energy journalist for a decade before joining Mining Journal in October 2019. In his previous role as managing editor at Interfax Energy, he led a team of journalists providing news and analysis of the global gas industry. Before that he worked as a reporter covering European energy markets. Journalism is not Tom's first career: he previously worked as a strategist for a media agency.
Elliott Holley, Deputy Editor
Elliott has a decade of experience in capital markets journalism. Based in London, he previously founded a successful finance magazine and has an in-depth knowledge of trading, regulation and commodities. He has also hosted and moderated roundtable discussions for senior traders and asset management houses.
Michael Quinn, Australasia Editor
Michael read maritime history at the University of Western Australia before working in the mining industry during the 1990s, primarily at a gold operation north of Kalgoorlie, and for a Boulder drilling company. A media journeyman, he has reported on the mining sector over the past 20 years for various international business publications.
Tim Treadgold, Senior Reporter/Columnist
Tim has been reporting on the Australian and global resources sector since the WA nickel boom of the late 1960s and has written for a number of publications, including BRW, Reuters, Forbes, Mining Journal, The West Australian, and Eureka Report.
