Swedish manufacturer Epiroc has won a €12.7 million (US$14.3 million) order for equipment from Züblin International for use on Codelco’s El Teniente underground copper mine expansion in central Chile.
Austrian development contractor Züblin will use Epiroc drill rigs and loaders at El Teniente, with deliveries said to be underway and set to continue into next year.
Epiroc said the machines would be equipped with its Certiq telematics system for "automated and intelligent monitoring of productivity and machine performance".
