Drilling as part of its 2018 programme, which aims to upgrade about 50 million tonnes of historic resources into a compliant inferred resource, Osisko intersected 3.97% zinc and 5.29% lead over 7.51m in drill hole M6263-18-PP-025, while hole M6263-18-PP-024 intersected 3.27% zinc and 3.55% lead over 5.81m.

Quebec-based Osisko also noted a high-grade intersection in hole M6263-18-PP-030 that returned 21.69% zinc and 2.9% lead over 2.9m. The intersections are within flat lying tabular-style deposits and above 82m depth.

The exploration target is meant to formalise the unclassified historical resources reported by Cominco in 1988 over a distance of 7.6km, including the M62/63 deposit of 789,200t grading 6.7% zinc and 2.5% lead.

The work is part of a 100,000m drilling campaign this year, split between the 22,000ha Pine Point camp and the 63,000ha Bathurst mining camp of New Brunswick.
