'Revolutionary' miner Idaho bound

Major Swedish equipment manufacturer Atlas Copco/Epiroc expects to deliver its first Mobile Miner 40V hard-rock continuous miner to Hecla Mining's Lucky Friday silver mine in northern Idaho by early 2020. "We see an increasing interest and expectations on mechanical rock excavation in the hard rock mining industry," a spokesperson told Mining Journal.
