Marrone masters waiting game

From practicing corporate lawyer to Canadian mining luminary, Yamana Gold executive chairman Peter Marrone tells Mining Journal how patience has proved a virtue for the young company he founded in 2003. With more than 30 years of mining, business and capital markets experience, including a stint as head of investment banking at Canaccord Genuity, Marrone explains the importance of viewing the business as a long, rather than a short game and how this helped Yamana to overcome difficulties in 2014 to achieve operational excellence in its producing mines across the Americas.
